Customs Information for International Shipments

All international shipments are subject to the customs and import regulations of the destination country.

Customs authorities may inspect parcels, request additional documents, assess duties or taxes, or hold a shipment for further checks.

Before sending your parcel, please check the current customs requirements for your destination.

01 — Customs Declaration

A customs declaration is required for international shipments.

Please provide complete and accurate information for every item in your parcel, including:

• Clear description of the item
• Quantity
• Value
• Weight, where required
• Purpose of the shipment, where applicable

Avoid general descriptions such as “personal items”, “gifts”, “clothes” or “goods” when a more specific description can be provided.

For example:

• 2 × Cotton T-shirts — €20
• 1 × Pair of women's shoes — €35
• 3 × Children's books — €15

If there are two or more identical items, enter the quantity and total value for that line.

Customs authorities may request receipts, invoices or other proof of value.

02 — Customs Duty-Free Limits

Customs limits vary by destination and may be based on the value, weight, type of goods or frequency of shipments.

The limits below are provided for general guidance and were last checked on 18 August 2026. Customs rules may change, so please check the current requirements before sending.

Azerbaijan	$300 per month per person

Uzbekistan	$200 per month per person

Ukraine	€150 per day per person

03 — Customs Duties & Charges

If the applicable duty-free allowance is exceeded, the recipient may be required to pay customs duties, taxes or other charges before the parcel is released.

These charges are not included in the shipping price, unless specifically stated otherwise for the selected service.

Customs duties and taxes are determined by the relevant customs authorities and are outside the control of UkayExpress.

04 — Customs Inspections

International shipments may be inspected by customs, border, export/import control or other authorised government authorities.

Authorities may:

• Open and inspect a parcel
• Request additional information or documents
• Verify the declared contents and value
• Hold a shipment for further checks
• Assess customs duties or taxes
• Refuse entry or require the return of goods
• Confiscate or dispose of goods where permitted by applicable law

Customs inspections may result in additional processing time.

05 — Documents & Proof of Value

Depending on the shipment and destination, customs authorities may request additional documentation, including:

• Purchase receipts
• Invoices
• Proof of payment or value
• Identification documents
• Additional customs forms
• Product information
• Other supporting documents requested by customs

Please provide any requested documents promptly to avoid unnecessary delays.

06 — Sanctions & Export Restrictions

Customs requirements are separate from sanctions and export restrictions.

Before sending, please also check that your goods are permitted for export from the country of origin and import into the destination country.

Restrictions may depend on:

• Type of goods
• Commodity code
• Value
• Technical specification
• Destination
• Recipient
• Manufacturer
• Intended use

This is particularly important for shipments to Russia and Belarus.

07 — Sender's Responsibility

The sender is responsible for providing complete and accurate information about the contents and value of the shipment and for providing any documentation required for customs clearance.

Incorrect, incomplete or misleading declarations may result in:

• Customs delays
• Additional charges
• Return of the shipment
• Confiscation or disposal
• Fines or other consequences imposed by the relevant authorities

Any customs duties, taxes, storage, return or other charges resulting from customs procedures may be payable by the sender or recipient, depending on the circumstances and applicable rules.

08 — Customs Decisions

Customs clearance and decisions are made by the relevant government authorities and are outside the control of UkayExpress.

UkayExpress cannot guarantee that a shipment will be cleared by customs or determine whether customs authorities will inspect a shipment, request additional documentation or impose charges.

If a shipment is held by customs, please provide any requested information or documents as soon as possible.
